One Response to “Painting Structures: Specificity and Synthesis”

  1. Willa Lewis:

Phyllis Floyd’s paintings are light and fresh. As an amateur watercolorist, I was very taken with her approach, and know how difficult it is to maintain that translucent quality when dealing with realistic subject matter.
I am now a big fan, and really appreciate the opportunity to have seen her works. Please pass this along.
I also want to tell you how much I think the Painting Center is contributing to the current art scene, which is often not comfortable to the everyday viewer. I hope you continue to be able to show such wonderful works such as those on view now, and the “ashcan school” urban paintings that were on view earlier this year.
