The Artist Registry offers the opportunity for artists to enter digital images of their work to be collected in the registry which is regularly consulted for inclusion in group exhibitions in the gallery, or solo exhibitions in the Project Room. In addition, the registry is available to outside curators. Note: The Artist Registry is a digital registry located in the database of The Painting Center computers, this registry is not online.
There is at least one group exhibition a year curated by a member of the gallery or a outside curator. These “Selections” shows are largely funded by the gallery and supplemented by a small contribution requested from the selected artists.
If an artist is selected for a Project Room Exhibition he or she will be contacted. A Project Room exhibition requires a small contribution. The participating artist keeps 80% of any sale issuing from his or her show.
