The Painting Center seeks proposals for curated exhibitions on an ongoing basis. We have a history of showing significant work of both the past and the present. Exhibitions are often reviewed, seen by many people and provide educational tools for students and the public. We encourage artists and curators to use our space to examine unique ideas about painting and its possible directions. Proposed exhibitions must include a minimum of four artists. To submit to our curatorial program, create a formal proposal with a thesis statement. Please include images and biographies from each artist as a pdf. Also indicate whether the exhibition will be funded by a grant or contributions from artists. The gallery does not provide funding for curated exhibitions at this time, but can offer support and resources for locating funding for accepted exhibitions.
