My paintings are telling stories about people I have encountered, imagined, or have yet to meet. I create the narrative by looking at the objects people leave laying around. Each object I choose has a history or triggers a memory that helps define the person that owns them. The story revealed by the objects’ interaction is the tale I want to express in my paintings.
I am currently completing my MFA at The Vermont Studio Center/Johnson State College. I have studied at the School of Visual Arts in Manhattan, New Orleans Academy of Art, Academia Internazionale in Duino Italy, and received a BFA at The Art Intstitute of Boston. I live and work in the Redhook neighborhood of Brooklyn.
