Artist Statment

I paint and draw from life. I am interested in the characters of particular dolls I have picked up and how I can place them on the canvas, the piece of paper, or whatever base fits them. The tension between compressed space, the image, and a holistic work of art is what motivates me. In the future I hope to be as clear as possible.
