Kathy A. Moore

Artist Biography

Kathy A. Moore works from direct observation of the motif whether it is a still life, landscape or the figure. Her work has been selected into 18 national juried art competitions by renowned painters such as William Bailey, Lois Dodd, Ruth Miller, Bernard Chaet, Barbara Grossman, Henry Finkelstein, Gregory Amenoff and NY gallery owners Larry Salander and Lori Bookstein. A recent juried group exhibit was held at the First Street Gallery, NYC. Her 2008 solo exhibits were in the Manifest Gallery in Cincinnati, the Ann Miller Gallery at Wittenberg University, Springfield, and the Anna Bier Gallery in Greenville, all in Ohio. Her upcoming solo exhibits will be held at Edison College in Piqua that will comprise of recent landscapes, and at Sinclair Community College in Dayton, showing large Conte/gesso drawings. Both schools are located in Ohio. Kathy received a BFA with honors in painting from Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio. She teaches as an adjunct professor at Edison College, Ohio.
