Randi Reiss-McCormack

Artist Biography

Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Randi Reiss-McCormack completed her undergraduate degree in Painting and Printmaking at Cornell University and earned her graduate degree at The Maryland Institute, College of Art. After a year in Paris, working in Printmaking and Painting studios, she relocated to Boston and then Baltimore where she currently lives and works as an adjunct professor. Her ability to work in a range of different disciplines from Installation to Printmaking leaves its imprint in her mixed media paintings. Everyday rituals and cyclical patterns are a big part of her painting vocabulary and the strange mix of unease and humor are evident in the process itself.

Randi Reiss-McCormack recently had a solo exhibition at Harmon Art Labs in Washington D.C. and participated in a group exhibition at  Stevenson University in Baltimore titled “First Impressions, Sol Print Studio,” showcasing the works of recent artists collaborating with the solar etching studio.
