Press Release
Marie-Noëlle Moginie: We are continually challenged by the turbulent relationship between the natural and industrial worlds. Nature is invaded, brutalized and polluted on a daily basis. It is under constant stress and pleads for accommodation. Ni Noir Ni Blanc is a series that further explores a visual metaphor that alludes to a game. Tension is created between disparate materials (acrylic paint, birds nest paper and bark) as well as configurations (two and three dimensions) played out on the game board.
Marie-Noëlle graduated from Ramapo College with a BA in Art and Psychology and now resides in Carversville, PA. Her work was recently shown at the Pascal Gallery in Mahwah, NJ and the New Hope Art Center in New Hope, PA. in Art History and an MA in Art from Hunter College.
