Douglas Wirls has lived and worked in New York City for the past thirty years. He has had one-person exhibitions at the Prince Street Gallery in New York and is currently represented by the More Gallery in Philadelphia, Pa. He has been included in many group shows, most recently Denise Bibro Gallery in New York, The National Academy of Design in New York, and The Philadelphia Academy. His work is included in many private and public collections, including The Butler Institute of American Art in Youngstown, Ohio, The Pennsylvania State Museum and The New Jersey State Museum. He is currently a professor of drawing and painting at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY.
