Ryan Cobourn
Ryan Cobourn's paintings and drawings of nature move freely between representation and abstraction. Drawing from both direct experience and pictorial invention, the paintings straddle the line between what is seen and what is felt, between perception and invention.
Ryan Cobourn is represented by Fischbach Gallery in New York City. He also exhibits with The Painting Center in New York and ACFA Gallery in Louisiana. His work has been shown at the Pii Gallery and Freeman’s Auction House in Philadelphia and Agittato Gallery in Geneva, Switzerland. A permanent installation is on view at Harrah’s in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2009, the Wolf Kahn and Emily Mason Foundation awarded him a grant for his curatorial effort, “Twenty-Five Painters Under Thirty-Five.” He is also recipient of a Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant.
