Ryan Cobourn currently lives and works in Brooklyn, New York. He received his MFA from Indiana University in 2004. In 1999 he received his BFA from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Since then he has been exhibiting in group and solo exhibitions. Ann Connelly Fine Art in Louisiana currently exhibits his work. Ryan Cobourn’s paintings, drawings, and collages move freely between representation and abstraction. His latest series of works are evocative of landscape. Drawing from both direct experience and pictorial invention, the paintings straddle the line between what is seen and what is felt, between perception and invention.
