ADVISORY BOARD

The Advisory Board of The Painting Center fills an important oversight role in the management of the organization. The Advisory Board meets twice a year to review the budget, programming, and The Painting Center’s activities. They make suggestions and provide an objective oversight to the organization. They meet once at an invited dinner hosted by the Executive Committee, and a second time are invited to attend The Painting Center’s annual members meeting which takes place in the month of November. The Advisory Board also provides much needed operating expenses to the gallery to ensure its financial health. The members of the Advisory Board financially contribute to the organization. In addition, the Advisory Board is asked to suggest funding opportunities and programming initiatives. There is a broad search for new curatorial programs, panels, and traveling exhibitions. The goal is to help The Painting Center remain faithful to its mission of celebrating painting in all its diversity and possibilities.
