allyson glenn
Allyson Glenn received her BFA from the University of Alberta (1998) and MFA from the University of Calgary (2000). Glenn’s artworks have shown in Canada, USA, Greece, Czech Republic, India, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, and China. Glenn teaches full-time as an Associate Professor for the Department of Art and Art History, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Canada.
Fascinated by allegory, myth, and man's relationship to the environment, Allyson Glenn’s artwork explores fictional worlds in which we construct and the real ones we experience. Her works on paper are informed by Carl Jung’s theory on the “third state” and Hilma af Klint’s union of opposites in The Swan.
