PATRICIA CARRIGAN
Patricia Carrigan is a painter from Connecticut. Patricia received her MFA in painting and drawing from the University of Connecticut. She has been awarded numerous grants and fellowships including a Ballinglen Artist Residency in Ballycastle, County Mayo, Ireland. Her work is exhibited nationally and internationally.
“For me painting is about telling stories and recalling memories. I begin by layering surfaces and symbols covering and uncovering to reveal and obscure imagery. This process of working abstractly with some definitive points of reference reveals bits of imagery over time like the telling of a good story.”
