HEATHER JONES
Heather received degrees from Millsaps College (BA, Art, 1992) Pratt Institute (MA, Art Therapy, 2001) and New York University (BA, Nursing, 2010). She worked in New York City as an art therapist and nurse for many years and now resides near New Orleans.
“I work on raw canvas, plaster or paper using ink, paint, pastel or pencil, manipulating the surface with natural and utilitarian objects. Intuitively, with controlled spontaneity, I use the creative process to explore and communicate. The gestalt created is an echo, the space between my art and the therapeutic use of art.”
