Sharon SHAPIRO
Sharon Shapiro has exhibited nationally at venues including SPRING/BREAK (NYC), the Museum of Contemporary Art Arlington (VA), Garvey Simon, and the Gadsden Museum of Art (AL). “My work delves into the intricacies of female identity and the multi-faceted experience of growing up in the American South. My sources include staged photographs of women, candid iPhone shots, and found imagery. I examine the impact of this culture on pleasure and leisure, exploring nostalgia, memory, and womanhood.”
