Kathleen Migliore-Newton
Kathleen Migliore Newton has exhibited in many group shows, including The Painting Center. She has had one-person shows at the Hudson Opera House, Gallery 10 in Washington, DC, and Berkeley College. Her Subway Series were selected by #ArtonLink in 2021 to be on kiosks throughout NYC. Two paintings are currently in the US Mission to the OSCE in Vienna, Austria through Art in the Embassies.
“My paintings are a celebration of the humanity found in New York City. I portray the energy and diversity one can observe walking down the street or riding on the subway. I am interested in the character, distinctive features, cultural signals and class differences, expressed through clothing, attitude and gestures. The vivid color in my paintings are a response to this human energy.”
