Rebecca Buchanan is a passionate painter and teacher. She was part of the 2011 Art 21 Teaching Cohert, a participant in the Art Institute of Contemporary Art for teachers in 2012, was a founding member of the Sequoia Gallery and Studios, and is currently part of the Brooklyn Arts Collective.
“I am interested in color and spacial relationships between the buildings and sky and the playfulness of a shadow and light in my new neighborhood. I try to stay loose and let the paint tell most of the story. The titles come from things I overhear on the subways.”
