MONICA GOLDSMITH
Monica Goldsmith is a Colorado-based painter. She holds an MFA from Lesley University College of Art and Design in Cambridge, Massachusetts and a BA from Loyola University in Chicago. Residencies include Ucross Foundation, Hambidge Center for the Arts, Ragdale Foundation, and Vermont Studio Center. Her work is exhibited nationally.
“I create paintings of imagined, mostly unfurnished residential interiors and the quiet moments of these spaces. The paintings are a glimpse into the ephemeral nature of these spaces. The work incorporates shifted perspective, the push/pull of background and foreground, as well as architectural and design elements.”
