George McKIM
George earned a BFA from VCU in 1977 and an MFA from ECU in 1985. He attended Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 1986. His work has been featured in group exhibitions at the North Carolina Museum of Art, The Painting Center and others.
“Working in an intuitive manner, I build compositions that are at once playful and serious, a dialogue with the relationship between painting and sculpture and with the materials themselves. The work is inspired by nature, architecture, poetry and art history.”
