Elizabeth diGiacomantonio
Elizabeth diGiacomantonio (b. 1982, Massachusetts) is a contemporary artist in New York's Hudson Valley. Inspired by memory and emotional exploration, she creates abstract paintings and works on paper that are marked by use of color, movement, and sensitivity to layering, giving her work energy and depth. Her intuitive approach to art has allowed her to develop deeply personal and expressive compositions. Elizabeth is a graduate of both Pratt Institute and Parsons School of Design.
"I am drawn to the power of personal and collective memory and the expression of memory through gesture. My work explores the ways in which our past experiences shape our present reality and invites the viewer to reflect on the role of memory in shaping their own lives."
