Jonna Pedersen (b. 1971) artist and curator, lives in Copenhagen, Denmark. Master of Arts (MA) in Business, Language and Culture from University of Southern Denmark and private art schools. She makes paintings, mixed media, digital collages and linocuts. Pedersen has exhibited internationally and been awarded multiple national grants.
I work with reflections. Pictorial reflections. About existence and who we are. My reflections are transformations of overlooked themes and values in our culture. By embodying them, I bring forth new perspectives, different meanings – an invitation to afterthoughts. I compose my reflections using fragments from popular culture, nostalgia and collage as an expression of a postmodern image of humanity.
