Teresa Dunn is a brown Mexican-American artist living in Michigan. Her identity, life, and art are informed by racial ambiguity and her two cultural heritages. Dunn received her MFA from Indiana University Bloomington, is a three-time recipient of the Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation Fellowship, and a Sustainable Arts Foundation award winner.

“My recent portraits explore positive representations of women, especially marginalized women who are people of color, immigrants, multicultural, and gender non-conforming. These paintings celebrate us and our connections to each other through family, friendship, and shared experiences with the dynamic richness of color, rhythm, tension, contradiction, and light.”
