JO ANN ROTHSCHILD
Jo Ann Rothschild works on both an intimate and a public scale. First recipient of the BMFA Morgan purchase prize, she has had solo exhibitions in Boston, New York, Chicago and Havana. Rothschild has been included in group exhibitions internationally. Her paintings are in both public and private collections.
“Often I think about music. The tools I use are mark, touch, repetition, texture, color and the spacing of the grid. Small paintings interest me. In a time of big lies, I want modest truth.”
