JAMES HORNER
James Horner tells visual stories about the queer community. He fixes on paintings and experiments with drawings, sculptures, and zines. Horner has shown at the Leslie-Lohman Museum of Art, the Painting Center, and more. This spring he'll take part in a public art show with other artists in downtown Chicago.
"I examine the environmental psychology of the LGBTQ+ community, their icons, and strive to divert discrimination. In my work, a strong line guides the figures, which can be muscular, abstract, and grotesque. Creating in the pop and graffiti art realm, I implore viewers to cherish mundane moments with loved ones."
